The other day I Found A Fix for a recent problem I was having. The issue is described as follows;
When trying to connect to a Remote Desktop Protocol session on a windows server 2003 , I would receive the following failure message ;
“The remote session was disconnected because there was an internal error in the remote computers licensing protocol”
Rebooting the server made no difference.
The solutions is as follows;
Open regedit and erase the keys:
1. HKLM\Software\Microsoft\TermServLicensing\Certificates.
2. HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services\TermservLicensing\Parameters\Certificates.000
3. HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services\TermservLicensing\Parameters\Certificates.001
You can either reboot the terminal services licenses service or reboot the server. I had to reboot the server in my situation because the service was unavailable.
